For the 2026/27 season, Boundary Bay Pony Club is piloting an optional lesson program with Julia Clarke of TopForm Equestrian.
The goal is simple: give our members more opportunities to ride together, improve their skills, and build the friendships and camaraderie that are such an important part of Pony Club.
WHAT’S INCLUDED
The lesson package includes 10 small-group riding lessons throughout the Pony Club season.
Lessons will generally be scheduled in groups of 2–3 riders, matched as closely as possible by age, ability, and riding goals. Lessons may include flatwork, jumping, position and effectiveness, and preparation for upcoming Pony Club activities.
A suitable horse or pony is provided as part of the lesson package, so members do not need to bring their own horse to participate.
MORE THAN JUST LESSONS
One of the reasons we are introducing this program is to give our members more opportunities to ride and spend time together.
Pony Club is about much more than individual riding instruction. Riding regularly with other members gives kids a chance to get to know one another, support each other, build confidence, and develop the friendships that are such an important part of the Pony Club experience.
COST
10-lesson package: $450
The lesson package is optional and can be added during registration. The cost includes 10 group lessons
and the use of a suitable horse or pony.
Spaces may be limited based on rider numbers, available horses, lesson groups, and scheduling.
SCHEDULING
Lesson dates and groups will be organized once registration is complete and we have a better understanding of rider levels and availability.
Our goal is to create groups that work well both from a riding perspective and socially.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
The lesson program is available to registered Boundary Bay Pony Club youth and adult members. Riders will be matched with an appropriate horse or pony for their lessons.
